had to pull the motor out to fix the tranny and now it wont start the fuel pump wont kick on and gettin no spark. i am pretty sure i have checked everything. any ideas. has anybody had a ecu go bad? any ideas

 

u gotta go thpugh all the wiring... ur missing somthing.

 

ground wire or double check all your connections

 

how about quadruple check, been looking at the wiring harness for four hours. has anybody fucked up a ecu

i hate to say it buddy but i think you missed some thing or pinched a wire

 

i think i read about some one pluging the wrong male plug into the wrong female plug there are two that will swap with each other if i remember correctly ...make sure all the plugs match in color

 

i knew u were out there but im going fuggin crazy, all of them match in color and i spoke with team SHARON colton and he said that it was ;possible to this so i have looked and cant even figure out ne ones that will go to the wrong ones so i am sure it is not that, i am goin so crazy its not funny

 

did you do the obvious checks like any bypassed switches , ie kickstand switch, tip over switch, clutch switch...

battery cables ,dead battery ,ground wires .....

i dunno thats kind of a hands on problem if your not there to check it's hard to help

 

there are no by bypassed switches the clutch switch is just unhooked and she only starts in nuetral, kickstand still hooked up, never by passed the tipover but have taken out the hangin metal thing so im pretty sure thats not it? keep em comin maybe i missed something

 

it cranks too, and ive looked everywhere for a pinched wire

 

touch the two clutch switch wires together and see what happens

 

which ones are they, remember mines a 06. and its never had a problem with it not being hooked up but i will try in the mornin, my bikes at the shop and thats kinda far

 

keep checkin, id say its a wire pinched, unpluged, cut somthing! check all your fuses

ya, its been so long i dont know wich ones they are, i dont have controls on the left side

 

i can positively say its not a unplugged one. nor a fuse, visually checked them and with a multimeter on the backside too

 

jb thats why my 636 would run right > i fucked one of the connection up for the ecu and my **** wouldnt run

 

yeah but when i did this i never unplugged the ecu

 

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS HELPS. BUT MY SENSOR ON MY THROTTLE BODY TOOK A ****, AND MY FRIEND NEEDED A ECU AFTER 30K MILES . OTHER THEN THAT I HAVE NO IDEA
