| Re: 100 octane fuel good point on that...I forgot about the sunoco stuff is leaded... the main problem with leaded is the emmisions but if you have an older bike the leaded fuels actually help lube your top end....but I'm not sure how it would work in an injected bike.... |

Also the Specific Gravity of the 100 oct fuel is a considerable amount different, changing the Air/Fuel mixture.

And stuntman 29: You cannot use leaded fuel in a fuel injected application. There are fine screens inside your injectors and it will clog them instantly. Same goes for bikes CA. models and modern, with O2 sensors. It will coat the sensor. The O2 sensor will compansate for the rich condition its is beliving exists and lean out the mixture resulting in a blown motor. To check the color coding: www.vpracingfuels.com

I notice a HUGE difference between 87 and 92 in both my F4I now and my old 900. I can't drift my F4I with 87 in it at all, but with the 92/93 it's rev limiter driftin!!! they sell the 100 octane here in cali right at the pump, runs good.!!!

| Re: 100 octane fuel Just run some Seafoam through your tank if you want to clean stuff out. Pep? You're on crack muh boy! When I put 93 in my bike and used my usual small amount of throttle and clutch to creep out of 1st gear, it wanted to stumble and stall, so I had to give it a little more revs than usual. I couldn't notice a difference anywhere else, but after I went back to 87 it was creeping out of 1st with authority again. |
