whats up i just got back from iraq what a waste of time.. anyways im a marine here in jacksonville and im gettin in to much trouble on the streets so im gonna stunt on lots. i plan on uppin my gears probably like up 6 teeth from stock i already got 1 down 2 up on my sprockets. heres my question im a newb to real slow **** i mean i can wheelie at like 15-25 mph nice but i wanna go like 10-15 and i was wondering if people clutch it up from a stop in 2nd gear they must is what i was thinkin cuz 1st is insane especially with a pizza pie sprocket. so what kinda gears do u guys think i should run on my **** if i wanna do slow **** but still be able to ride kinda on the street i mean if anyone knows the top end losses on most gears that would be great. i got an 02 honda f4i its all black spray painted and fog lights for headlights i got a 905 cage and freestyle inginuity bar.

 

scrap your cage its junk...will break your first good hit.Just broke mine two weekends ago. Get a FI cage.
Im learning the slow stuff now. I ride a 954 RR witha 60 tooth rear sprocket and down one in the front. I do all my sh*t in first gear. Clutch up to BP and barely use the trottle steady well mashing the back break. i am currently learning to catch idle.

but anyway, all slow **** is done in first gear, regardless of ur sprocket size. +8 teeth is plenty of gearing. everything can be done stock geered, geering just makes the clutch up a little easier and the idle will pull a little stronger, wich means u dont have to be as smooth on your brake inputs. i always run +7 teeth on my bikes and sometimes just stock and i have no problems doing circles, no handers, clutching in from stalls and straight murderin the streets. top speed with +7 i believe is somewhere around 145ish depending on the bike.

 

my friend is +10, everything is in first gear....bigger gearing doesn't make you go slower....what did you think you were going to do when you sign up for the marines....

Im 1down 11 up so 14 up total on my gsxr and can't ride comfortably on the hwy im about to drop that in half atleast big gears suck...

your retarded cuz the comment you made about my gearing. Everyone has there own style and the fact remains that MANY people are up pretty big in the back now a days for ease of technical tricks you dont see to many people killing super tech lot **** with small gearing !!!!!

 

-1 +17 street riding is retarded. its retarded to gear your bike that much when you still ride street, its not needed at all. gearing your bike that much doesnt help u do circles or combos, all it does is make ppl say, "wow thats a big ****** sprocket".

anybody i see rockin that big of gearing i will call retarded for riding the street. i was at the roc and i dont recall any of the streetfighterz runnin gearing that big and certainly none of the section518 guys that i went with run that kind of gearing. average gearing is around -1 +10.

 

when sitdown steve came up to ride with us in chicago with guru he had a 70t....i believe twite or someonebody else was talkin bout the 70t on the highway being a lil too much going 65+mph
