what temp does your stunter run at??

so i have a 03 gixx 750 thats + 16. i know that the engine's workin overtime but the motor spends a lot of time in the 210 - 220 range. especially in traffic or practicing. just wondering if it's pretty normal or if something might be wrong above and beyond the gearing. thanks.

I ran that same bike as my stunter for several years and you are in the same temp ranges as mine. i wouldn't worry much until you get over 230...i have seen up to 247 on mine. i would just ride fast to cool it down if it got real high.

If you unplug the temp sensor plug on the left side (lookig froward from the driver seat) of your radiator and jump the 2 wires together, the radiator fan will turn on anytime the ignition is on and that will help keep it cooler.

An F4i fan kicks on at 225*. Runs around 185 to 190 most of the time. I agree that anything over 230 is getting into a bad zone.

i've got an 06, and it loves to run in the 190-210zone.... except on highway obviously.... my fan kicks in at like 218 or some bullshit tho... way to late I think... I may try the jumping the wire idea , but will it wear out the fan a lot faster???

f4i here...1st gear lots.... fan on at 223...off at 214... I've seen 235 ....rad fins were clogged right in front of the fan...with grass seed and dust and debris...from riding through a farm field (Yeah I live in Boonfuck) when the fan was on ....it sucked all the dust and debris into the rad fins ...(It happens all the time on the tractor)

Suggestions for All (Just smart maintenance ...and free) Keep your radiator fins clean ...blow out with air regularily and flow water through when you wash your bikes ...)

if you know your **** runs hot , even with all preventative measures taken... then Run Good Synthetic oil (I prefer Honda gold 10w40 ) it can handle way higher temps without breaking down nearly as much.

Make sure if you wire a fan, wire a switch..

That way you don't have to worry about cooking batteries
