gsxr problem.....????

gsxr problem.....????

i have an 05 gsxr 600... i somehow fried the main wireharness... thanks to joe.... i have the new one on already, but.................... the bike starts fine and idle's.. but when i rev alittle bit, it will rev good but when i let go of the throttle after a rev, it bogs down...... wtf??? it shoots spark from the exhaust, and backfires as if its getting too much fuel... any ideas????

Your welcome...Sounds like a possible fuel pump problem to me, we have to keep in mind that something went bad in order to fry your original harness and really the only thing I left out on the replacement harness was the ECU.

possible fuel pump huh? ill look into that.... that harness had everthing.... was very simple to put on

yea something set it off to begin with and there really isn't much left to replace...

^^^ lol the exhaust doesnt smell like normal exhaust either..... it smells like alot of gas.... ??

Fuel pump...A friend of mine had a 954 that ran like ***...unless you hammered down on it...it would backfire and have a looped idle and STINK of gas out the exhaust...swapped out the fuel pump and he was good...

You would know if you had a power commander, especially after replacing the harness. It would be an aftermarket add on...
