Question about SI cages and Race Rails

I just recently picked up a F4i to compliment my R6. Got the F4i to maybe learn some slower stuff in a lot.... also got it for my girlfriend to ride.
She is kinda short, has to tippy toe and I'm wondering how intrusive are SI cages on an F4i? Is it going to make it harder for her to touch the ground when she's riding it?
Also, I'm thinking maybe going w/ race rails instead, do they provide enough protection to keep my bike in one piece?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Re: Question about SI cages and Race Rails

i dont even notice that i have my SI cage on. Any cage wouldnt interfere with her being able to touch.

Re: Question about SI cages and Race Rails

race rails dont protect your engine case covers so you would want to buy thicker after market ones (NRC). If you want to learn slower stuff and have something that is girlfriend proof, spend the extra money for a full cage.

<<< I flip stoppies and **** all the time and the only thing ive ever had to replace was brake and clutch levers....

If youre going parking lot, go for the full cage...

Re: Question about SI cages and Race Rails

your girl will have no problem touching the ground, the cage doesn´t come in the way of her legs. SI cages are damn solid and fit right on, you´ll love it!

Re: Question about SI cages and Race Rails

I crashed a 20mph wheelie with race rails on and they did their job...sadly it got bent upwards like crazy (kinda figured they would). An it did scratched my cover...I'd say for slow stuff your cover is gonna break with rails unless maybe you put those extended sliders on it like Kaneone does then maybe you won't.
