brake pads are cake, everybody knows how to change those.
i'm not insulting sickinnovations in any way, i'm just pointing a few things that must be addressed. i've heard nothing but good things about these cages and thats the reason i bought it.
chicken brocolli and cheese, mmmm.....
how bout this.....what if he were to just put the instruction son the site....saves time and money and if you really need it, you can print it off. And again, not to insult anyone, but if someone is stunting they need to know how to work on their ****....instructions or not....otherwise they better be rich cause the repairs bills are gonna pile to the roof!

I've installed 3 different cages on 3 different bikes and never once looked at the instructions. I may be more mechanically inclined, I don't know. Also, take note of where you motor mount it....prolly where you're gonna cut the side fairing on most cages (not always true with powers cages). I can take a straight line fromt he front of the bike and see the motor mount....thats how high the hole is, pull the fairing back about an inch or so and look down behind it....that how far back it goes....make an X where they intersect....cut there.....tada!

I understand people like clean cut instructions, mostly because people don't like to think for themselves. People who do think for themselves get the backlash or criticism after they originate and come up with somin. Ian is a thinker and came up with his design, tested it, modified it, made it better....I'm sure eventually he'll have instructions to go with the cages or on his site. Just amazes me that a STUNT cage for a STUNT bike, that people are goin to be breaking and constantly repairing, is expected to have the same instructions as the toy you assemble for your kids on christmas.

SERIOUSLY... put the spacers on or your gonna **** up your frame.... they both go on the left side.... notice how your cage slides all the way up to the mount holes on the right side(due to the motor mount adjustments) but on the left side its pushin against the frame NOT all they against the flat spot of the motor mounts.... put em on before you bend up your frame or tear a bolt outa the motor

maybe he does need instructions!

keep in mind Ian is a phone call or e-mail away....when I've talked to him he was really helpful.

seriously though, instructions on simple things (maybe more simple than cages) are like the "Warning: Hot" symbols on the side of coffee cups.....they are there for those who are a lil "de de de" (there should seriously be a retarded smiley! haha).

Re: SI cage is pissin me off ! ! !

Just some info. I was the only one running this business for a long time. I still work 12+ hrs 6-7 days a week. We are working on installation instructions, but its very time consuming. i need all different styles of bikes to get detailed pictures, which i do not have. All Hot pockets , or handbrakes are installed the same. Our cages come with different hardware, spacers, and not one cage is universal. It is taking a very long trime for us to get the instructions lined out and still keep orders going oput in a timely fashion. These kind of threads can simply be avoided if people would either call or email me instead of starting a thread like this. Thats a simple solution. If you still have questions, call me. 812 453 2854 and i could answer any question you have.

By the way, your spacers go on the left side. Id highly recommend using them.

FI has replaceable parts for a reason.... they bend and break all the time.

SI is almost IMPOSSIBLE to bend or break... hence, no need to replace ANYTHING.

And once again... the FI may protect the engine... but the SI will protect the entire bike, clip ons, tank, levers, controls, ect. It's almost impossible to roll the bike over.

Farley... I feel like buying you an SI cage just so you can see what you're missin out on.

AND FOR PEEPS LOSING SOCKETS... use snap-on thin wall sockets or just use a craftsman 9/16, 1/4in socket/rachet.... it's got a thinner wall than the 3/8ths and slips right outta the cage w/ no problems.
