Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

i have 3 tickets for the same thing: wreckless driving and exhibition of speed both are punishable by six months each (grand total 3 years). what ive learned is the only way to get out of one is to not get one, aka "click it or ticket," which translates to click down to gears and roll on the throttle or you'll get a ticket.

Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

I dont know about arizona but I can tell you in Connecticut the cop has nothing to do with it once he has written the ticket its out of his hands. Now you go to court and the prosecuter will have the charge and a detailed description of what the cop saw. So best advice is to stay close to honesty cause believe me they know what you did. Once the prosecuter is done with you and gives you the deal I then had to sit and wait for the judge to approve of it. Now unfortunately you probably wont get as lucky as I did the prosecuter owned a bike and was impressed that the cop had followed me for two miles and i never left my lane. But when it got to the judge she wasnt all that impressed and thankfully the prosecuter argued for me and I got a general speeding with a 150 fine. You may want to get a lawyer though cause by the sounds of it the prosecuter doesnt ride.

Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

i went to jail, had the bike impounded, paid a lawyerover a $1000 to get it dropped and still had to pay a fine and it was put on my record.

Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

back in september, myself and another was doing some taping on a way to do a show, had the whole enteroige(however that's spelled) following behind with a camera on the tripod following behind. Got pulled over in a one stop light town and cited for wreckless driving cause an off duty called it in. They confiscated the tape from the camera as evidence. Your state should have you citation code online, check it out and see if you were doing any of those. We weren't, so it's supposed to be getting dropped according to our lawyer, the tape actually worked in our defense cause we were not speeding, obstucting traffic, or whatever the other thing was, something with school buses i think, but the main point is, that a wheelie can be controlled, so therefore it's not wreckless unless you are endangering others or whatever other b.s. was in there, just lucked out for us i guess.

Did you get your tape back. They took our $1000 digital camera from us for evidence even though they could of just downloaded the images. I told them I would have my lawyers take them to court if they didnt give the camera back. They eventuall gave it up, hahaha like 5 min. after telling them that. Why would they need the whole camera when they can just download the images, dumb cops thought I wouldnt know any better and take the camera. FTP!:YEAH

Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

Next time do not stop!! In Delaware, it is hard to prove that it was reckless, I found the delaware law online and went through what had to be done to be reckless. The cop has to prove that you were knowingly endangering others and all kinds of other shit. I dont know if it is the same in your state, but it might be worth looking into. Oh and next time, just get the **** out of there...fold your plate over when you are going to be doing seat standers and shit.

Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

how about this guys...

was on the way to work the other morning on i295n here in va.

looked behind me didnt see any cops.
pulled up a 2nd gear whoolie , rode it around a mile or so put it down went to pull it back up,, looked back and blue light on my azz.

so i pulled over(dealer plater on the bike ).
but heres the interesting part, i was wearing full gear (34 degrees) so i had a balaclava on and a full face helment. and the tropper never made me pull my helment off. i did give him my lic. but he never saw my face and i chicken scrached my autograph on the reckless ticket.
what do you guys think do i have a case,, the couple of cops that come in the shop told me he has to be able to describe me to the judge..

thoughts???????

Re: Reckless Driving Ticket

I thought about runnin for a second but I mean the cop was seriously like two feet from my ass. I didn't even know he was there til I set it down then just looked behind me like I normally do. Good thing I didn't cuz my buddy that was next to me said that he saw like five other cops drive by within two minutes. I have been contimplating gettin a lawyer but I don't wanna spend a grand on him, then still get a big fine, and license suspension or some bull. I am planning right now to just go in with pics from the local spot and show how controlled my wheelies are, and tell them how I waited for no traffic and I had license, registration, plate, and insurance. I mean come on how many riders even have all that stuff? I don't honestly see what the huge deal is. Hopefully something happens for the better cuz I can't afford this.
