Oil leak from stoppie gone wrong.

After having a stoppie flip on me, I've noticed there's oil leaking somewhere from the leftside of my bike. I know its not the cover being cracked cause that was my first thought. But the bike never went down on it side, it flipped over and stayed upside down.

I got the side fairing unbolted and tried to see but can't figure out where it coming from.

After going down the bike needed to be push started, and when she kicked over it blew some nice smoke out the pipe for the 10-15 minute ride home and had a nasty smell too.

Anyone have any ideas what I should look for, or check.

get some brake clean and some rags, clean off the oil real good and run it again, its possible you got oil in your airbox, thats what id check first

Yeah I thought that. And I cleaned what I could get to, then the other day( about a week after crash) I took her out and it was still leaking. Its not a very heavy leak, but its just pissing me off.

easiest way to see where the oil is coming from is to flip it back over, no, i'm joking. Airbox answer is what i'm thinking too. The're is a vacumm line from the crankcase to the bottom of your air box. Clean out the airbox and also blow out that line. I think there is some sorta valve in the end, its not supposed to not let oil up, only air. Check that to see if its broken. If it sucked in that much oil and smoked for that long, you also might want to clean out the carbs/throttle botties, whichever. Hope this helps!!!

my buddy did the same exact thing to his 99 gixxer. stayed upside down for a while, then leaked oil, then about two weeks of riding later, put a rod through the block. but it had plenty of oil in it. but yea check all the vent and breather hoses, and i have an f4i and cant remember if the bike has an oil cooler or not, if it does check the lines and cooler.
