Pros and Cons from a Stoppie perspective

what are the real pro's of having an aftermarket stabilizer (vs. a stock one on an 05 R1)?

Re: Pros and Cons from a Stoppie perspective

Adjustability, the only way to stiffen or lighten up a stock damper (like the one's on the 05 R1) is to change the oil...

Re: Pros and Cons from a Stoppie perspective

what i meant by pro's was, what is the real need for stiffer? Does it really help with the "shakes" all that much more than a stocker? does it help keep the back straight behind you? that kind of stuff

Re: Pros and Cons from a Stoppie perspective

When you start doing endo's higher you can get a tendency to go into a "tank slapper", the stabilizer helps avoid this...

But i guess there's a difference if you're rolling from 15 mph. Once i rode with one, i'll never ride without.
