yes, winter is almost upon us again... in just a couple months start snowing and salt will be everywhere and all that good stuff. but it has me thinking, while snowboarding and ice racing 50's can keep me enterained.... i need a winter project.... i want to build something. something i have to piece together and rebuild or something. something that will take month upon months to do. but i have no idea what.

last winter i built my 600rr (had to swap the frame)..... while that only took a few hours, finding all the parts took forever.


any ideas?

i have all kinds of crazy tools and have no problem buying more if need be, but have no ability or capibility to weld

 

take a welding clas and then buy a welder!!
then you'll be on bad ****!! well rounded!!

Hmm... I think itd be pretty bad *** for you to get a wrecked ducati for el-cheapo. Spend the winter rebuilding it. Ive always wanted too. Never found the time or patience... or a wrecked ducati for sale for that matter. Good luck with the project tho dude. Hope you find something.

 

i got me a 1972 cb175.

ima make a gay chopper out of it and sell it to some putz for a few hundred.

 

make a kick *** go kart with a crotch rocket engine in it. that would be a lot of fun out on a frozen lake if you get it done fairly fast.

 

or a snowmobile motor in a 4wheeler or lawn mower. they are dangerously fast with those slick motors

 

pretty much everything you guys just mentioned requires him to weld....and he said he cant....

 

welding is very simple, just takes practice. go out and buy yourself a second hand wire feed and pick up some scrap metal... Start practicin!

well i have to say i live in florida now but i grew up in cleveland, oh my whole life. so i have to say i have experienced winter with snow and winters with out snow the i sure do like the no snow winters because i get to practice. then when i go back up to cleveland i can show all my friends my new stuff while they had to sit at home in the snow

i use to ride everyday november-april sometimes may all over the place competing.....after i got hurt it really wasn't that big of a deal to not ride...i miss it sometimes but i would rather be able to walk the rest of my life.
