Gloves

I know it's been covered before. But I'm not sure how recently.
I put a nasty ass hole in my palm last time I went down because I had on DB gloves. I'm all about something with a leather palm, at least 2 or 3 layers thick. I'm thinking about the Alpinestars S-MX Air Carbon gloves because they look good and I've found that alpinestars fit well.
Anyone tried the 06 Icon Merc gloves?
What's everyone rockin now?

Re: Gloves

i had icons super duty gloves(i think thats the name) and dumped in the lot at 5 mph and the palm disintegrated and got burned on my palm. had those alplinestars smx gloves and dumped at 55mph they held up pretty well with only a scrape on my thumb where the glove is mesh.

Re: Gloves

thanks for that info. I went down at maybe 15 or so with Fox DB gloves, tore right through the palm and my hand.

Re: Gloves

ICON leather shorties. Had them for 3 years now and they have done their job. Time for a new set. But yeah leather on the palms is the way to go...

Cheers

Re: Gloves

I had stars for two years, blew out the fingers and the palms after many wrecks but they really held up well...the best i have seen. The bad side was they stretched which killed my hands after a while because they bunched up. I wear cheese icon merc now. They are really tight and breath well.

Re: Gloves

I wear the Icon Burner Leather gloves. I just ate it a few days ago and the gloves did there job. The gloves suk for about two weeks while you break them in but once you do, very nice...

Owh I see now that there are different kinds of models of the Alpinestars S-MX gloves... I have the 5-Model... It's more leather then the 3-Model as far as I can see...
