This sport aint going to the X-Games....

I just watched Travis Pastrana bust a double back flip in competition.

We dont have anything that even compares to that.

Just watch Darius's winning runs at various events and compare them to any of the X-games winning runs in any competition......Nothing against D but hes at the top so...

Lets have an adult discussion, no flaming/hating

our sport is in it's infancy.

we haven't even BEGUN to show what's possible.

i'm just glad i was lucky enough to get in on the ground level....10-20 years from now is when we will be X-games material.

think about it....stunting as only been around in this form for roughly 10 years.

that's NOTHING in terms of other sports. think about the first ten years of skateboarding, or surfing (even tho it was done hundreds of years ago....)

just saw that shit, and i am amazed!

i also see rallycross on x-games, so that means that drifting and stunting is next up to bat.

Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....

**** X-games, there are more stunt comps around the country than any other sport i know of.

maybe not huge ones, but it seems everyone month, or even less, there is a comp or show somewhere, and a bunch of poeple are going.

the real money in this sport isn't gonna be made off comps. it'll made with shows and DVD sales.

although that's just my opinion.

i disagree.

LOTS of poeple like to see big jumps, cause they like to see BIG crashes.

now, someone hidsiding a circle isn't to bad, but if someone was doing a 60 MPH revlimiter coaster and thier clutch cable snapped....you bet your ass the crowd would be WAY into it.

FMX has it roots in motocross, which has IT's roots in post world war 2 england.

the fame and sucess of FMX has to do with the fact that motocross racing was already starting to make it, when FMX came onto the scene.

FMX started as the racers just doing tricks if they won a race.

if you had a bunch of motoGP racers stunting F4i's after a race, you beat your ass stunting would be bigger.
