not completely true.... there are PLENTY of dirtbike trails in my area.

anywhere there are hillbilles there will be dirtbike trails, and some decent sized jumps.

not everyone is out there to be the best there is, some just like having fun.

Slow down, kids. Take your meds. lol Even ol' Paw Paw knows it will be a looooong time before we ever get to X-Games(if ever). If and when it does, their will only be a small percentage of riders that actually get to participate i.e. invite only. If your not in the click, I wouldn't get my hopes up. We love what we do. Hopefully...one day.....it'll make the big time. I'm not holding my breath though. lol

Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....

this "sport" If you even can call it that (thats another topic), is not gonna be as big as x-games or come anywhere near it

(1.) 90% of the world has no idea what "stunt Riding" is and its been around for 10 years. There's not enough audience to have stunt riding as an event that mainstream, there wasn't 10 yrs ago, there isn't now, there wont be in 20 years. There could be if they start producing stunt bikes straight out of the crate but whats the chance of that.

Next reason why its not going anywhere

(2.) Watching ppl stunt is booorrinng as all hell to someone that doesn't do it. Ppl wanna see burnouts, a wheelie is a wheelie to most ppl no matter how you do it. I went to a show last month, they did 3 25 minute shows throughout the afternoon. 5 minutes into the show the majority of the crowd (non-stunters) were bored out of there minds until the burnouts started then they started to cheer. The ppl in the show were doing some amazing things, but some guy off the street would say all they did was a wheelie for 25 minutes and it was boring.

There's no way I would even watch ppl stunt in an x-games surroundings. I can't even finish watching a 3 minute clip of darius doin circles, It's not entertaining after the first minute.

LivingCanvas said it perfect in his first post - "I just watched Travis Pastrana bust a double back flip in competition."

"We dont have anything that even compares to that."

Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....

Now for the next question, not to hijack the thread, but it goes right along with the first one. How many people would consider the sport as "selling-out" if it went to the X-games? Basically, would you like the sport as much if it became something big?

Re: This sport aint going to the X-Games....

Are you kidding me street luge made it to x games... who the hell would rather watch that then a 500 foot endo.. Danger is the key word.. When all your willing to risk is a scraped knee, no one cares.. Pick up the speed.. Nothing but FAST circle combo's and Haulin ass Danger and it will make it no prob.. But who is willing to risk that smash your bike and yourself for good so you could get a chance at making it at the x games when we are already in the stadiums doing it infront of thousands anyways ? i think not....

seems to me that if there's no danger factor then the "average joe" doesn't get that excited about it. I made the mistake of popping in a stunt dvd with some non-riding friends. All they wanted to see was the crashes..I won't make that mistake again. A double backflip has that danger factor, a 3mph circle wheelie doesn't. I'm not saying that this sport will never go anywhere....I'd like to see it get the recognition it deserves....but I don't see it getting mainstream attention like the X-games anytime soon
