best 12 bar with least mod for f4i - Stunt Discussion

Hey. I'm a newbie, bear with me. I just bought cages for my 04 f4i. Was wondering what 12 bar is the best for the f4i. I really don't wanna cut the tail section! I've looked at em all, but... can't get an accurate "how to" about the installation. Does anyone make one, that you don't have to cut the tail an stuff? If you could tell me what you've got, an what you had to do to install it, that'd be awesome, thanks!

if your worried about cutting the tail you shouldnt be stunting...

just take the tail off, that way you dont have to worry about scraping your plastics when you fall.

Ha! I knew I'd get beat up for this one! Isn't there one that mounts underneath the tail section? No, I can't scrape yet, I can't do crap except a 15 ft stoppie a couple feet off the ground! I would just buy another bike just for stunting, but...

you guys are awesome! If I scratch the paint, I know a good paint guy! I know, I sound more like a "streetbike rider" than a "stunter". here's another dumb question, do you have to cut the pipe no matter what?

Hey, thanks for the advice. Honestly, the only thing I'm worried about is going past bp an smashin my tail an pipe, an fallin on my back! I think I'm just gonna buy a crappy pipe an cut it an see how that goes. All I was askin was... if there was a 12 bar I can mount without havin to cut out the sides of the tail. I've seen one where it looks like it mounts from underneath an you just have to cut out parts of the undertail! An, I know people are complainin about stupid questions, but.. I've done the research, an looked around, just wonderin if someone has seen that type of tail, an if they make it for an f4i.

If you got an 04, you got what I got, so definately dont fu(k with a powers bar, your gonna have to grind down the welds that hold on the hand grab and all that shit, then your gonna have to butcher the rear end and find somewhere to stash the brake light cause it sure as hell aint going nowhere near where it originally went.

Oh yeah and when its on, your gonna have to cut yoru pipe, because the pipe will hit first, I checked that all out, its a mess of work for a 12' so be smart, unlike I was, and wait until you know your even gonna go far enough to learn to scrape.

905 has made some that dont require cutting, but why dont you just buy a crappy tail section, cut it down and get a reg bar, and cut your exhaust down, or buy an aftermarket can, and hacksaw it and a re-revit the end cap on and your good to go.

there is no 12 bar that is no cut.. it goes to your subframe and so does your plastic... if its your first stunt bike the least of your worries should be the tail.. first thing you have to do is take off ALL your plastic.. cause if your just learning how to stunt they will ALL break.. i went through 3 bikes untill i got my shit down so don't worry about looks.. after you learn throw the plastic back on.. but as far as right now.. take it all off and bolt the 12 bar on
