I've got an FI cage on the way, an I was gonna take off the whole front end, put some acerbis headlights on, an buy a crappy used pipe an cut it down, an eventually put a 12bar on. Do you guys suggest takin off the side plastics even though I've got a cage goin on? You think They'll still get trashed with a cage?

From the sounds of it, just take all the plastics off and store them in your room and keep them mint. Buy a shitty tail, tank, pipe, and a acerbis light and go stunt.

Ya, your probably right. I mean, if I do go past bp, it's definitely not gonna be on purpose. I'm definitely gonna get a junk pipe though an cut it down.

get a junk pipe for when you loop out (its gonna happen), but dont bother cutting it down until you can scrape

go on ebay and find a tail section with flaws that's cheap enough to be cut ok, then go with a freestyle ingenuity 12 bar, then a 905 cage, that's my setup on my gsxr, and as many times as it's been dropped looped and twelved it's never broken yet. or, if you get really creative, grab some fiberglass cloth and hardener and resign and just take your tail off and leave the seat off and lay it over then add the resign and hardener and you'll have a good mold, then let it sit for a few days then you'll be able to lightly bend the bottom up and over your stock tail and viola! you have a tail you can paint and play with

for your pipe, you can mount you 12 bAr a littlw further out, cut a piece off your mid pipe or just have your pipe's canister shortened and re-attached
