Stunters Please Read & Reply

This idea started in a video thread vertical started, but here it is, please let me know how everyone feels.

i thought i was gonna have to come on here and defend the video about the street footage, but now all i have to do is put +1 to tneck, could not have put it any better. theres absolutely no denying that street riding has much entertainment value, however, everyone is going to have to realize that inorder for this sport to have a real future like many other sports have already done, it must be taken much differently because of all the factors working against it, especially in florida there are many riders with the dreams and ability to make a profession out of their riding, and the only way that is ever going to happen is to make this sport seem much more legitamate to bigger companies who actually have the money to take this where it must go inorder to become mainstream, right now the number one thing preventing this sport from becoming mainstream is the street riding. The StuntShine State has one goal, to show what this sport has to offer in only a good light, positive riders with positive attitudes who have the ambition to show how the riding alone has evolved so much that now its time for people with this very unique skill to be able to make a living doing what they do best, stunt riding. If all you wanna see is some people killing the streets then by all means by the dvds that offer that, but if you wanna eventually see stunt riding on espn, speedvision, cereal boxes, video games, shoes, clothing etc (all of which i find to have more value then street riding) then please join the movement to help this sport become something real and not something just the core market can talk about. My main goal was to create a film that i could hand to any huge company and feel confident that after they watched it they would have a real feel of the true potential "this sport" has minus all of its usual bad light.

i just want people to know how i feel about my work and so if they choose to support me in anyway they know what im working for

Exactly and honestly I could give a damn if it's on the streets or lots.. Riding is Riding and the skills are the same on the streets as in the lots. my

Street footage is the majority of what sells to the core audience, imo. SSS has some of the dopest freestyling and shots I've ever seen, but street footage is different in every scene and adds a level "xtreme" that lots/tracks cant. Do a trick in a parking lot, then on a downtown street with a living breathing back drop, see whats more enticing and visually appealing. Your movie does look dope, but st. footage would make it a masterpeice(again imo) but I wish all involved success with the project! -D

Re: Stunters Please Read & Reply

I agree with what your saying and many people like seeing raw street footage such as myself but like you mentioned that raw street footage discourages many big name companies into sponsoring this sport for more than insurance reasons. I personally think you made a good point and hope to see this sport go in the right direction. I prepaid for the stuntshine state and by the looks of your work and the riders you have involved in it I am sure its sick! I cant wait to see it and you know what watching the moves those guys are pulling off is entertainment enough be it on a closed down runway or a warehouse lot it doesn’t have to be renegade street footage to be the sh@t if the guys got skills and the individual producing it also has skills well then you got one hell of a video. I like many people started in the streets but with cops cracking down and age knowing I have got more to loose now I don’t hit the streets but that’s me . Great trailer! StuntShineState!!! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Re: Stunters Please Read & Reply

the stunt shine state is porblry one of the best teasers ive ever seen. there is little or no street riding, and it seems like every time i wacth it amazes me. but just like any other sport it is going to be hard to get the puplic to understand why we do this, and its not just a bunch of idiots out there killing themsleves. but i think that its videos like this that are helping along with the progresson of the sport. but thats just my , great job with the viedo wish i wasent so broke or i would buy one

Re: Stunters Please Read & Reply

the sport has alot going against it. You go on the street your going to fast, could hurt someone, you go in parking lot your going slow but most of that seems likes circles which to the core audioence is boring. Streetbike not a skateboard where if you fall of you get scrapes and really not gonna hurt anyone, sportbike can kill another person and the rider.

Re: Stunters Please Read & Reply

there is alot of good footage in the sss that is not just circles. but we are going for bigger and better things over here in florida. we usually hit the streets 1 or 2 times a week and just put it in little clips for you fellow riders to see. we ride year round and are trying to do big things that let us do shows and other things all over florida. i also like to ride streets and there are some people on here that can vouge for that. i also watch others street footage but thats for another vidieo

Stuntshine Streets :YEAH

most of the people that live up north dont get to ride 365 days a year so you hit the streets and then take 4or 5 months off and everything with the cops cool down. but down here it never cools down cops are cracking down hard

Nearly Perfectly Stated!

Being in the profession I'm in and attempting to change, motivate and educate the non riding community it's a definate challenge when a Exectutive only can remember a SQUID Power Wheelie at 100+ between traffic on the I4/95HWY, and that's the type of image we are battling. The professional stunting community is attempting to bring sportbikes and freestyle into a socially accepted profession.
We definately have to curb the overt lawless behavior, begin to and act in a socially respectable manner to attract "BIG BUSINESS".

Unfortunately we are our own worst enemy, the Police will keep enforcing the Law extremely vigorously, the insurance companies will keep raising rates and not insuring properties we hold events on and it's a seemingly never ending spiral.

We get different Police and Deputies and FHP contacting us all the time but a few min. of talking to them, explaining our purpose they almost always sit and watch for a while and leave us alone, but they always initially treat us like a Felling/Eluding, PowerWheelie, Mainac until they realize we are not a threat, we are not killin the streets, we are not the reckless drivers they are use to citing.
Working closely with the Daytona International Speedway, they are very interested in this sport but they are VERY conscious of public opinion and until we all start acting and treating people in a sense like you treat your mother/Daughter(s) ect... We are going to be the side show instead of the Main event!

We need to all change and grow!!!!

GREAT THREAD!!!!:YEAH

If you get to Daytona, LMK, Joe Vert, Rick, XTFR we'll have lunch at the wing house!!! AGAIN!

Just my Opinion!!!

The thing about street is you get wrapped up with the 99 million other fools rocking 1000cc bikes with $10,000 liens and NO SKILL. If you have skills (aka Ninja Status), take it to the lot and watch yourself become immediately distinguishable from the rest! Its like a fukin magic trick.
