Re: Who do you look up to in our sport
im just starting stunting and feel isolated in ireland,i recently found this forum, watching dvds is cool, but from the horses mouth is far better for learning and building confidence and learning from others mistakes.
so at the moment i look up to whoever set up this forum and everyone that posts on it for taking time to share their **** and help me to progress and answering all those newbie questions again and again.
also justin laredo at stuntme cause they are the only shop i could find that would supply a cage to ireland, most places didnt even email me back.(anyone who does send to ireland please correct me)
i dont know too many famous names at the moment but think its cool to see some of the ones i have heard of making posts here.
so thanks everyone for supplying an enviroment for isolated and new stunters and helping us up our game.

A few riders that have profoundly influenced me thru the years;
Kyle Woods
Chris "Teach" McNeil
Tony D Freestyle
Matt Gorka
Chauncey Viera
Jason Britton
Darias Kashabi
Brandon "Digidy" Ulrich
"Vertical" Joe Dryden
A.C. Farias
Kevin Carmichael
Jon Jon
Wink 1100
Ronnie Reality
Ray Ray Z.
Alex Flores
Korno
As far as filmmakers go, I've never had anyone to look up to. I think that Craig "Stone" Beckman's film Alex Flores "Conquistador" is a very good film. I have respect for Mike Nicely & Nick Apex who as filmmakers are "Out There and Doin It" without a doubt.

CBO should have been on my original list of riders. He absolutly inspired me when I was making Black Sheep Squadron.
My personal feelings aside and I know this is going to be slightly controversial but I'm going to give it up to Two guys that changed this whole thing big time as far as I'm concerned;
Todd Colbert; Stuntwars (The biggest comp. in America before they blew it this year). One of the "Last men standing" as far as the old guard goes.
Matt "Thew" Blankstom; Pioneer of "Street-Bike Acrobatics". Straight up. The first time I saw him ride I was in shock, it was unbelievable.
Also the one event that changed my life by showing me there was still a story to be told outside of NYC was The World Stunt Riding Championship in Turla OK 5 years ago. To me that was a "Watershed Moment" in this sport / lifestyle.
I also want to give it up to Bud Mastrangelo (Bud Productions) who is out there "Doin It" as far as the filmmakers go.

Re: Who do you look up to in our sport
-Jason Britton: Super nice guy, very smart, and very willing to help out. Very positive spokesman for our sport. The most positive I think. Awesome family man. Deserves every bit of success he has had because he hs EARNED it.
-Nick Apex Brocha: A f*ckin maniac. But always positive. Smart as a whip
-Outermost: Some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet in your life with nothing bad to say about anyone. Pushed the sport in new directions.
I wish I was more like them in alot of ways.

Re: Who do you look up to in our sport
StarBoyz, SFz, OM, SIU, Kane...a lot of you guys in a way too regular dudes out there doin their thing stuntin for the hell of it not in hopes of making it big.
Re: Who do you look up to in our sport
I look up to everyone that has true passion for this sport, and everyone that helped it move to a higher level...It would be too much to say names but Darius was and is #1 in my book...

People tattoo themselves with stars and would wear jackets with stars on them just so people thought they were starboyz. People claimed to be starboyz to riders that didn't know any better. Somebody please claim to be me to get friends or laid...I'll take that as a compliment. The lifestyle. The FTP. Everybody knows FTP. EVERYBODY. The level that they were/are on (in my opinion) is what I looked up to. I will always consider Kevin, Scott and Joe to be the riders I looked up to most. The parties. The fans. The fact they're still in the game pushing the sport the way they are and not just learning highchair circles so every new kid thinks they're number one. Their generosity....I know they gave more **** away, paid for more rounds at clubs and housed more stunters than anybody out there. They are entreprenuers. Businessmen (that doesn't even sound right saying that) but they are. They've been in more magazines, toured the world, have a stunt school, had the first stunt forum that influenced this one and are putting on the biggest contest to date and have more love for the sport than could ever be expressed by my words.
Honorable mentions:
TripleXtreme: The "original" Kyle Woods, Brock Catronio and Joe E. Brown. Pushed 1096's riding more than anybody out there. Our nemesis crew that would end up being our brothers.
Wink1100: The first rider that made me rewind a clip literally over a hundred times on a VHS recorder. Popularized the 12:00 and the sport has never been the same since.
Drew Stone: Not only in my top 5 people that I've met to be the best source of conversation, the man has single handedly taken a video camera and shown the world what this sport is all about. When I think of people that take things to another level, his name comes to mind. A pioneer without a bike, been through all the same S#it and hate this sport has to offer, but still has as much love for the game as any of us who ride. Responsible for getting our sport seen by more people than anybody out there....And doing a damn good job doing it. Influenced more "filmmakers" to present our sport with a new level of quality and professionalism.
A.C. Farias: A.C. is an alien. Look at his initials...Alien Creature. He's not from Earth. Why doesn't anybody believe me? Doing Circles, No handers and all the good stuff back when Honda was still making "F" Series bikes. The Michael Jordan of stuntriding. Athletes like A.C. will always have legendary status.
Chauncey Vieira: I hate that kid. Nobody needs a constant reminder that there is somebody better...And he'd just sit there with that s#it eating grin.
The rider today that I would love to see in the number one spot if this sport was X-Game level.
Hardcore riders still pushing it daily, been in the game for many years, getting better and not riding the wave, helping out, not having an ego:
Teach
Joe V
Darius
Britton
There are many more, but I'm getting finger pump.
For those about to clutch....We salute you.
