Re: How'd you learn the HB

Yes mine grabs right at the top but thats where I like it on any lever. I like my clutch with almost no play at all, I pull it in a few mm only unless Im holding it in.

You should have more adjustment though, I can set mine with no play or have it grab as soon as it touches the grip/bar.

Do you find that the msr lever only grabs right at the top? I have mine all the way in, like yours, both at the lever and at the case and there is hardly any adjustment at all....

eliminate the lock ajuster for a another MM or two

Thats why I dont like the ASV it doesnt have the hook on the lever like the MSR that lets it go over the HB master. I think your HB is in a perfect spot give or take a few, your problem is getting the clutch to work with that. It either needs to be on the other side or closer to the HB, and I dont see how you can do that with the ASV.....

I feel like i am REACHING for the clutch with my index finger, and it grabs right at the top. Its ok I guess, but it really is like i am consciously grabbing out into space for the clutch, cuz the lever is so far out.

I am grabbing right at the end of the shorty lever, just like your set up.

Maybe i just need more time with it.

Re: How'd you learn the HB

u can see the bend hits closest right where my pointer finger will go

right where my hand will hit the ajuster nut for the lever

Re: How'd you learn the HB

i don't have a hb yet planning on getting one soon but this thread just helpped me out a whole lot thanks..

a few of my own questions though..

while using the hb how erm touchy is it? its it like using the foot break or is it far harder to lock the rear while using it? or is it differn't for every hb?

thanks

Re: How'd you learn the HB

Check this out very simalar to your setup I did for a friend, he was positive he couldnt use the R1 radial master untill I sold him a spare MSR. With any other clutch he was having the same problem, he could get either the clutch or HB in the right position but not both at the same time.

The clear res hose is a special brake fluid resistant hose specifically for brake res, I like to use clear because I can see the bubbles and the colour of my fluid.

Re: How'd you learn the HB

i dont understand this argument...you dont need to cover both the hb and clutch at the same time until u doing off peg coasters....doing that just gives u less grip and less stretgth to pull in either lever...clutch it up and move ur middle finger under the clutch to the hb...ull be fine...when it gets time for SS coasters, then get an msr...until then ur fine
