919 and z1k are some sweet bikes. I love to see streetfighters from the factory. i will one day have both of those bikes, even tho i'm a honda guy i still want the Z.

Re: Kawi z1000

A z1000 would be a great stunt bike, except for the fact that it's a z1000... because of parts availability, yada yada yada...

Re: Kawi z1000

argggh, I love the look of this bike. I was thinking of getting one. Mostly for streets. What if you took the forks off and replaced them with 636 forks? how much fab work is involved? Are the forks the weekest link? how are the brakes? and other suspension?

Re: Kawi z1000

thats what i plan on getting, theres a guy here that just stunted out a 05, looks bad as hell too, got a 60 tooth sprocket, custom cage and so on, all ready has the streetfight style headlight, and db bars, plus with taht sprocket, that thing has a ton of torque, all he is waiting on is the 12 bar, ill try and get some pics tomorrow and post it

Unless you also get the wheel all you need to do is fab some spacers to line up the wheel with the calipers.

I'm not going to read all the posts, but I can tell you this.... a friend of mine has a Z750 and he toasted the motor from oil starvation.

it bolts right on...you just need spacers for the calipers and the rim if you do not use a 636 rim..

def. is not heavy under 500lbs with a full tank...a Ti or CF exhaust and it loses 40lbs...and with a couple slight mods you get 136rewhp

the parts thing is probably the biggest drawback...but whole mint bikes are cheap as hell so I'd imagine that a crashed one for parts wouldnt be bad...

b4 the 636 frt end
