See the difference, there is no disguising big MX bars and the missing front Fairing. Brings up another point, stunt riding looks SOOOO much better on a full fairing bike, one that looks like the one your fans are riding!!!
i agree !

Re: mx bars vs. clip ons

inverted aftermarket clip-ons rock. You crash, just change the sleeve and 5 min. later, you're good to go. I carry an extra handlebar sleeve in the trunk (with zipties inside it)

Re: mx bars vs. clip ons

well so far clip-ons win for pimpin and style, while mx bars obviously make things easier for serious stunts. i was playin around earlier and i dont like mx bars as much spreaders feel weird since your arms are up a lil higher... maybe it will just take some gettin used to, for now im stickin with clip-ons

Re: mx bars vs. clip ons

hey kyle do you know if that will work on a gix6 2002?
sounds like a great alternative to mx bars.
more functional for stunting than clipons but not as ***** as mx bars

i conkeer with u john i used to run clip ons full fairins (most of the time) but last night i was at a local shop they hooked me up with risers and handlebars for $80 so i put them on, and then after i realized for shows and streets people couldnt relate to the mx bars so i figured ill rock mx bars for shit and giggles and for shows and street riding buy another bike all stock

Re: mx bars vs. clip ons

I use mx bars cuz im old and my wrists have taken enough abuse over the years of stunting and now they are fragile.

The bad part is they give you arm pump alot faster.

I don't really think its an advantage. Well it is, but no more then running aftermarket clip-ons!

IF someone wants to take MX bars out of competitions, then you must also take aftermarket flipped turned clip-ons out!

To each his own.. The DAY I switched to clip-on's, my circles DOUBLED!.. the DAY I switched! I ran mx bars for 2 years. got to wear I could do 2-3 circles often, and hit 5 occasionaly.. switched to fliped clip-ons, in 30 minutes I was doing 4-5 circles, and htiting 10+ on occasion..

Not to mention, now that my arms aren't soo spread out, I can do pull throughs WAY easier.. My problem before was I hand to have my chest soo close to the tank, to hold onto the bars.. NOw my arms can be straight, so I have tons of room to pull through

And I ran mx bars on a full fairing bike, but my clip-ons turned out only fit street fighter!

But I do love mx bars for endo's, I HATE clip-on's for endos..

<<<--- My avatar is with mx bars and FF only cut down about 1".. For my clip-on's to fit, I would have had to cut another 2-3" off my upper, so I just removed it
