![]() | Okay, so I just got a Reeg Racing billet rear brake lever (same as Two Bros) in today and I'm having a lot of trouble getting the brakes to work now. I put it on, and for those of you who have put one on know, the hole on the brake lever in which the rod to the drum brakes goes into, is a little farther forward. I pulled the lever (connected to the rod) off of the drum brakes and moved it up so I could get the rod to reach. Now that it does, I can't get the rear brake to work right. When I get it all put together the rear brake drags big time. I tried adjusting the nut on the back to loosen it up, but it doesn't loosen enough, it still drags. I tried re-adjusting the lever about 20 times and still couldn't get it to work. The only way I could get the brakes to work was if the wheel was all the way forward in the swingarm, then I couldn't tighten the chain. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, could you help me out and let me know the trick. Thanks.J.J. |

![]() | Re: Aftermarket brake pedal - need help installing FIVEO...the pivot point is under the pedal. The brake pedal is straight. The reason the brake would drag is because of having the rod pulled up so far to connect it to the brake pedal it would be pulling on the brake arm, in turn dragging the brakes. Xidium...The only problem w/ that would be that I still won't be able to tighten my chain in the future when it gets tight because I won't be able to pull the wheel back at all. Thanks for the suggestions, though. Does anyone know if any companies make an extended brake rod to connect to the brake pedal? That's the only thing I can think of that could solve the problem. |
