quick action throttle
Re: quick action throttle
those 1/4 turn throttles suck big'uns unless you're running a larger carb, which usually increases the throw (pc18 & 20's do). a full size throttle w/ 'stock throw' is the bomb setup, fast50s sells'em among others. if you're looking for quicker engine response that's a whole different story, maybe you should look into a kitaco cdi box or inner rotor kit.

Re: quick action throttle
Red Baron's throttle is sick and it does have 1/4 turn...way quicker response. Works great for big bores! I have run a bunch of different throttles in the past and like this one best. I'm a little biased because I ride for RB, but it's up to you what you want to do. Good luck
Re: quick action throttle
Technically, the turn size really doesnt matter. You can shave governors to a different size to get a larger turn. I think the twist to slide ( if the 50 even runs a slide, i think its some other design but i will use slid) ratio is more important. Let say the slidecan move 2 inches. If you had a 1/4 inch turn and the slide moved only 1 inch it wouldnt be snappy. If you had a 1/8 inch turn and the slide moved the whole 2 inches it would be uncontrolable snappy. Those are a little exagerated but i hope you get the point.
