rear shock honda clone

i have one of the honda clones and i put a 125 dirt bike shock on it and it is now taller and does not bottom out, but when i am not sitting on it the chain is all loose. and i have a peg on the rear axle so when i try a staggaged stand up the chain gets all loose and hits the swing arm. are the after market shocks for 50s any better? i was almost thinking about making a bar to eliminate the shock all together because i really only use it for wheelies and do not jump it or anything.

Re: rear shock honda clone

i have a 110 clone, you can buy a HD spring for it on ebay and keep your stock shock and ride height. They're 60-80 bucks. Check'em out.
