stock size sprockets?

Do most guys change sprockets for better wheelies on the fiftys?
What are some good combos, front to rear. Or just change one sprocket.
thanks
andy

I'm intrested in what other people have tried. I'm 200+ Lbs. and running stock gearing for now. I would like to try some other combos though.

I went from a 37 to a 34 in the rear. It made 1st a little more useable and second more fun. It tops out at 35 mph ( ran beside my buddies mustang for the data ) .

It sucks in the dirt cause 2nd used to be perfect for a small dirt track but now its to low in the rpms coming out of the turns.

Anyone change gearing on their Sikk MX 125 XL? Thats what I have and 2nd is what I use to wheelie and 1st is unuseable.

Re: stock size sprockets?

metal doc is right on. 12/37 gearing of the z50 should really be changed up to atleast the stock xr/crf50 gearing of 14/37. i started in 2nd with my z50 gearing, i cant wait to get my bike back together to try the 14/37 gearing. i went jt front and rear sprockets. they had a few different front sprockets but only the 37 rear.
