Re: Katana 600's

i learned to ride on a 95 katana 600. great bike to learn on, it was actually passed down from a bunch of my friends. it is very top heavy and also weighs alot. if it ever happens to get dropped it a bitch to pick up. also the mirrors are easy to break. i broke like 5 of them. luckily they only cost @$14 to replace. any other questions let me know.

Great bike to learn on, but after that you'll want more power. They don't call them a "Can-o-tuna" for nothing.

Re: Katana 600's

its a great bike to learn on because of the not too great throttle response, heavy weight, and the lack of power, so if you start out ridin a can o tuna and can stunt that bia thant you could stunt pretty much everything in my opinion. they take a lot fo skill to stunt and stunt well because of the above mentioned factors, but its all you dude, how much they want for it? justmy

Re: Katana 600's

too much (imo). If i were you, i would buy a salvage zx, cbr, yzf, or gsxr 600 with that money. They would be more fun.

Re: Katana 600's

Yeah, $2500 is way too much for a 93' Katana. Look in the classifieds section here. There are people selling clean-titled 2002 Gixxer 600's for that. They might have been beatin a little, but putting a few dollars into it here and there is worth a newer bike. Or buy a salvage-titled bike like mentioned above, they can be had cheap. Check out www.argocycles.com . Their in NH but ship and have awesome deals. Say you know Teach (Chris Mcneil) or PM him on here. He is sponsered by them and gets the bottom dollar price for SL members. If they are asking $2500 for a bike, he can knock $500-$1000 right off. Good luck.
