what is the diference between a salvage title and a normal title and if it is salvage can it still be insured as a daily driver?

Re: titles

Then you have the DOT inspect it, and if everything checks out ok, yes...it can be daily driven again. It's just a matter of making sure you put it back to being street safe. ie: blinkers, brake lights gauges...all that had to work.

Re: titles

I see ur in Texas bro, i just bought a stunt bike with no title and am having trouble getting the paper work together since everyone who has previously owned the bike lives out of town. Got the bike cheap and i thought it would be easier to put together than buy a good one and tear it apart. If you have plenty of patience and plenty of time to do this process and the price is good then do it. but if you have no patience, no time and not a good buy? THEN LEAVE IT ALONE... just spend the xtra cash i have learned my lesson. i have no patience. time and money i do, but i cant wait i wanna be riding it already. thank god i got the busa

Re: titles

If the bikes in decent shape, has working lights, horn, and mech sound all u need to do is take proof of insurance to the title office w the salvage title and they will set u up w a DOT inspection and temp tags till ur rebuilt title comes n. Its really not too bad if the bike is decent. Sometimes they will even reissue a clean title if the bike is primo. If ur just wanting a title to a stunter dont waste ur time.
