Help!!! 2008 zx6 round bar!!!

Hey guys, just picked up a '08 Kawi ZX6 that i'm converting into my new stunt bike. I ordered a Sick Innovations round bar and can't seem to get it to fit at all. The flat bar with the 2 mounting holes on each side has one bar that goes stright and the other side kicks out towards the end. Then the bar that goes across towards the back with the "sock innovations" sticker on it has a notch cut away on it. The guy I talked to at SI did'nt seem to know alot about the round bar (new guy or somthin) but from what he could tell by looking at the jig the flat bar with the end kicked out goes on the right side of the sub frame which would put the notch faceing up. If I try and mount it this way it's not even close....off by a mile!!! If I lined the flat bar along the side of the sub frame it would put the round bar about 8 inchs above the tail haha.....it seems like it would fit better if I flip the hole thing over, but even then it's still a bit off. Anyone have any pics with the bar mounted on a bare sub frame???

thanks guys!

Re: Help!!! 2008 zx6 round bar!!!

On mine if I remember correctly the bent side goes on the left, there was 1 hole drilled on each side that the exhaust bracket bolts go through and I used hosed clamps on each side at the front.

Its annoying to keep having to fuck with the exhaust tip As you scrap it, it starts to fold and block the flow, then your bike starts to run like shit...And if you have an aftermarket pipe your fucked, cause they are not nearly as strong as the stock one...You'll start breaking the subframe

exactly!!! if I flip it to what they call (upside down) I can get the rear holes to line up with the exhaust mounting holes. I don't know what their thinking....i'm just gonna mount it "upside down" haha

thanks guys!

You should email us pics like we asked you to when you called in. That way we can help you get the bar on your bike. We can most likely help you more than people on a forum can. Thats a wierd subframe to begin with.

I guess I need to make sure the guys know which way is up on that bar so they put the sticker on right.

Sorry for the confusion guys.
