Re: Best Cage Choise
i guess if you don't wanna spend the money for a regular cage you could always build your own.. but keep in mind this is usually don't by pros so if your cage doesn't hold up ... its you to blame

Re: Best Cage Choise
i own a 07 r6s. looking for some protection while i can still ride the bike normnally. bought and installed a 905. sucked. im only 118lbs and the 905 was just a major weight difference. im also short so idk if that was an issue but if i kept it on i woulda had to wear shin pads just to lift the bike sitting down. maybe full cage is not for me. any ideas? on a side note if it helps im short. 5'8'' ish. dont kno if that was part of the reason for the bruises. any and all help is appreciated

Re: Best Cage Choise
We've found that a lot of more casual riders would like more protection for their bike than is offered by frame sliders but don't want a bulky, expensive stunt cage on their bike for fear of it catching the road during tight maneuvers. We're looking to manufacture a super low profile bar that does not restrict rider safety, rider comfort, lean angle, etc. whatsoever and has a more reasonable price tag. So far, we're doing really well. We've gotten the bars for the GSXR600 and 750 all jigged and done. The total added weight for this cage is a mere 6.3 total pounds, hardware and all. The GSXR bars came in at a modest MSRP of $170 and it's a three point cage.
Check out how close these bars run along the fairing on the photo below. Our bars don't protrude passed the mirrors and are even contained within the width of the grips. According to measurements we took, this specific set sticks out LESS THAN 1/8" from where basic frame sliders do.
We're now working on the Yamaha R6. Just this morning we finished the prototype and took it over to our powder coaters to be finished up.
If you guys are interested at all, I will post pics for you when the R6 bar comes back later this afternoon.
EDIT: Keep in mind: in these photos, the bar is only polished. At the time we took these photos, the bars had not yet been powder coated. When they're done, we'll be offering these bars in a variety of colors.

Re: Best Cage Choise
I run a tygershark on my 06 gsxr 600 and I love the clearance! I just burned off what little chicken strips I had left and no clearance issues. Mostly due to the fact that it's a two piece design. The only downside is it's made of solid steel not tubing so it's pretty heavy, super strong but heavy. It also has a lifetime warranty. If you bend it or mess it up, just send it back and they will fix it or send you a new one.

Wire cages are a great cage choice for your Teddy Bear hamster.Rear mounted hydration carriers are subject to the shape of the saddle and seat post. Not all systems work with popular triathlon saddles like ISM Adamo or bikes like Cervelo.

Re: Best Cage Choise
The Yamaha XJ6, the Yamaha Moto Cage-Six is a bit different from its predecessor. Loud, audacious, loud, likely prone to wheelie, and loud…those are words we likely will never hear used when describing the XJ6, yet seemingly apply well here with the Cage-Six.The Yamaha’s Moto Cage-Six Concept certainly does illustrate how far a little imagination can go in taking something from mere to the next level in this Gen-Y world. Hell, with a little less neon yellow, we might even consider rocking this around the block a few times.Still, if we had to choose between the two, there would have to be an overwhelming preference to see Yamaha’s three-cylinder motor with a crossplane crankshaft get built over this marketing exercise.
