So I might be getting a 08 dodge ram 1500. their beds are 6.3' .. now I was wondering if I could fit the bike straight with the tailgate UP.

I know you can fit two bikes with the tailgate up in a 6.5' bed, but what about a 6.3' bed?

 

An F4i/636 will fit with the tailgate down, but not up. Of course it all depends on the bike.

 

Hmm not sure about it up possibly.. Halfrican has that truck I believe and he has his tailgate up with the bike cocked..

 

i got a 6 ft bed and my buddies r6 fits strait with the tail gait up but my 04 636 has to be turned some

 

I remember seeing him haul two bikes with the tailgate up, unless im mistaken.

 

I have that truck (07), you can only lock the tailgate if the bike is off to the side... straight bike = tailgate down

K Halfrican has the SLT 1500 and bike fits sideways with tailgate up. Two bikes you have to tie the tail gate up.

 

havent tried it yet but you could prolly let the air out of the tires and it might close

but on mine i just kick them a little sideways and the tailgate almost closes
