![]() ![]() ![]() | Chrome VS. Powder Coating Is the weight difference even something to think about. I would imagine that chrome would be a shit ton heavier . Someone told me that powder coating is almost as heavy. I have chrome wheels and a chrome swingarm on my 954...I bought it that way. Im sure it wont last forever and when it starts to chip or spider web Im sure as hell not getting it rechromed. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Chrome VS. Powder Coating I wouldn't be worried about weight at ALL unless you are trying to shave 0.01 off your lap times.. I just ADDED a 5 pound steel brace to my radiator.. Plus my 5 pound 12 bar And soon gonna get a heavy sub cage :YEAH |

![]() | Re: Chrome VS. Powder Coating A pound of powder coat would easily paint a frame. so.. yeah not much weight there.. and you can get chrome powdercoat also. Im sure a gallon of gas weighs more than the chrome needed to cover an entire chopper. |

![]() | Re: Chrome VS. Powder Coating no, the people at firespeed cut it down. i think the stock size is like 23-24 inches and they cut it to 11 and powdercoated it. i actually just received it and will be posting pics as soon as i find my camera. i wanted it to be the same size as the one on the pic. the yoshi on the pic came like that from japan it has 2 exhaust ports. |
