Re: Is there an 'illegal' sprocket size?

If your riding a motorcycle most of the time you dont have to worry about what "illegal"

But with your sprocket ?? Id say as long as you can ride 45mph your ok.... IDK for sure tho I dont think I would street anything over 7-10 up

Re: Is there an 'illegal' sprocket size?

From past experience with cars and trucks, I would say that the only way a sprocket would be illegal is if it was bigger than the wheel, so that if you were to get a flat tire it would damage the road. So that obviously would not be an issue as the biggest sprocket out there is 74 tooth and its not bigger than a 17in wheel.

I've never seen a DOT stamp on a sprocket...

Re: Is there an 'illegal' sprocket size?

nope. I doubt they even care. As long as you aren't breaking any speed "rules" you're all good.
