ZMAX Oil Additive

Hey I was thinkin about putting an oil additive like zmax in my bike. ya know it soaks into the metal to lubricate and protects when there is a loss of oil pressure like in racing and shit. would be good for stalls and shit.. with my F4i a quart over the light still comes on when I sit it on the tail. So I though of using an additive, but then thought about the clutches and shit and if it would be bad for them.. anybody know anything or used any of that stuff? Any educated opinions?

i dont see any reason it would harm the clutches or affect them at all, but i also dont think its necessary to run just because your bike is up for a few seconds.

btw, how is your house full of beasts?

Re: ZMAX Oil Additive

Never really been a fan of oil additives that promiss the world . I remember about 10 years ago This was an informercial , aswell as Duralube , and Prolong . It's kinda like faux insurance in a bottle to ease your mind .

There are 3 types of zmax additives . Fuel , engine , and trans . There are also is a small engne formula . I did not find anything at the site that talks about motorcycles , other than it can be used in ATV's .

I would suggest you try to get a hold of them and ask which to use . Personally , i don't think it would hurt your trans or clutch .
(i could be wrong though )

http://www.zmax.com/

Edit : I Found this . It says at the bottom it is used in motorcycles . http://www.zmax.com/history/linkite.html
