spocket/chain removal and instl. help

hey pimpsters need a lil advice..orderin new drive kit for my 01 gsxr 600, and considering doin the work myself .any tips or tricks i need to make this process go smoothly? oh and im investing in a chain tool also ......and one more thing i know this move to the front of the bike but a guy a local shop was tellin me to put thicker oil in the front forks...what can i do to stiffin them up for endos.???thanks

id leave the oil the same and just playing wit your fork adjustments...as for doing the chain yourself you better do it right... u dont want that shit breakin and takin the motor out.. its happn 2 me b4... u need a chain breaker tool, a tool to push the plate on and a tool to mushroom the pins out.. squeeze too hard and the chain will bind causin it to snap..also take ur time measuring out how many links to cut off, move the adjusters all the way foward lay the chain on the sprockets... measure 50 times.. cut it once or the chain is shit... do it right!!! n yea i kno they have removeable links... i dont like them..

yeah man i played with tha forks but still dives pretty bad....and for tha chain is there like an all in one tool to do that ? or what ?

yea its like a clamp wit remoavble tips n shit every1 ive seen @ the shops are usualy broken but yea they got'em

yeah ordered the rk chain tool ..got it on the way with my thrust company 16/52 combo ...guess i'll see how it goes this weekend.
