cage install

finally got my SI crash cage today. Didnt come with any sort of directions so I was wondering if anyone could let me know how much I am supposed to torque the bolts. The bike is a 2000 zx6r. Thanks

If you have a shop manual it'll have tq specs, never owned a bike that came with an owners manual so i couldn't tell you on that.

I had a 99 and 00 6r, i'm trying to find the cd with the manual on it.

That's how you a) overtighten and strip/break shit (who likes tapping motormounts?!!) or b) leave it too loose and wad your shit up breaking tabs and shit off the frame.

it's idiotic to put a cage on your bike and then not install it to the motor mounts / cage mount points properly. it'd be kind of ironic, no?

I dont.. but i've got some friends who like to borrow the tap/die set when they break shit on their own.

For whatever reason, they can't grasp the concept of torque specifications.
