Re: lojack??

Don't even waste your time

If someone steals your bike, chances are within 2 hours of being stolen your bike will be in PIECES and that lojack will be recovered from a local river.

You are better off with insurance, or just saving your money for another bike in case yours gets stolen

Re: lojack??

I don't think there are lojack stickers. Lojack does have a system with an early alert. you have a special key fob. If the bike is moved or anything without the key fob near by it will alert the lojack people who will then alert the cops. Well worth it to me. Just had it put on two of my trucks and I am about to put it on my bike. On my trucks it was a one time fee, but they recommend reinspection of equipment every 2 years.

Re: lojack??

I have to agree...I've seen some bikes recovered because of lojack...key word is "some"...the random thief will have no idea it has it and you have a chance of it being found still intact, nothings 100% but at least you have a chance.

its definately worth it, especially in conjunction with theft insurance, its a lot up front, but they know you have one on there and lower your rates, saving you in the long run

and maybe i'm just retarded but i looked all over on my bike for it and couldn't find it.

It MIGHT be worth it, or it might be $750 in the TRASH.

I guarantee 90% of theifs, will have your bike in parts and sold 2 hours after its stolen.

Hell, I bet most people, already have your bike SOLD before its stolen!

Lower insurance rates? I pay $240 a year

You're better off putting your bike inside

If some low rate theif that doesn't know what he is doing is stealing your bike and riding it around with a lojack on it, maybe you should re-think where you leave your bike.

If you park your bike in a halfway decent fasion, and aren't a idiot about it, the only people that will have a chance at it, are people who theif all the time.

And they wont care about lojack.

edit: and it doesn't matter if you can look at your bike TOGETHER and try to find it..

Most people that steel bikes, don't keep them in 1 peice like meth heads that steel cars...
They take that shit home, STRIP IT FAST... STRIP IT THAT day! and already have the frame in the river, motor sold, and a pile of parts you can't prove are yours

Re: lojack??

very true. parking it somewhere safe is the best piece of mind.

$240/year for comprehensive coverage?? makes me want to move.

its not really a wasted $750 in my eyes though, if you don't get your bike back in 24hours, they refund the purchase price of the lojack.

not saying i could sell it for 20k,
all in all i have put a little over 20k into it, including original purchase, 10k

full titanium exhaust, nos, rearsets, all the electronics, dyno, dampner, clipons, lights, etc... pretty much everything possible ~5-6k

i looped it once and had to buy like $3k worth of new parts

gone through over $1k in tires, just replaced the rear again.
lojack + alarm = another $1200

just adds up over time.

Lo-Jack SUX! If there was a way to have an on-star set up that's the way to go but LO-Jack almost never works...very low percentage!!!

Trust me there.....we get mabee 1 lojack hit a year but we get 5+ a month of onstar.......

hahahha

Sorry but I own all my stuff.
$3,500 for the f4i, definitely not stolen. Neither are my dirt bikes which were financed.

And sorry I can type at 150 words per minute, but not very accurately.

At least if you are gonna bash me for my spelling, use proper punctuation dumbass.

Re: lojack??

To a good thief lojack and onstart are worthless, if there good and want your stuff they will get it plain and simple. If ya got the loot and feel better with it then get it but insure it and call it a day and be done. Oh and to the fan of onstar lmao its as easy as lojack to get rid of its just the crowd that yanks the ones you find are dumbfucks

Re: lojack??

heres the old one i was talking about. not all chop shops are run by stunters. heres a road racing guy getting caught. this guy was really dumb. had a list of things to do " put bikes in storage unit, part bikes out, put bike parts on ebay" . he even dumped the hot frames in his back yard canal behind his house. prolly towliee boy there, fucking retard all the way.
