600 is just a ass buzzer

got my 2005 636 fixed(bought it crashed). I've been always driving 900+ bikes and my main bike is 1050 speed triple.

I know the benefits of low torque when bike is used for stunting, more control, less tricker happy throttle, but for the streets and general usage, I have to say 600 is just annoying. There is no torque, it needs massive revs to go anywhere.

one friend summed it all up. in the end, 600 is always just a six hundred ass buzzer.

So it's just right people destroy 600 doing stunts. 600's deserve it. it's only thing they are good for.

10 second quarters, and 150mph+ IMO is plenty for the STREETS...

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

You are right that they are lacking in the torque department, but it can easily be fixed with shorter gearing.

Besides, the 600 do pull very hard; they just need a lil rpm ;-)

I would prefer a 1050 Speed Triples though over a 600 at most times!

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

yeah 10.5 quarter mile times and top speed of 180mph on 2 wheels!!!! revs for days ........... 600's depending on the year and make are pretty damn quick . and though there is a lack in low low rpm torq , they do handle great ! my cbr feels like a little dual sport in the corners but keep the rpms in the power band and it will sling shot out and easily pull the front wheel up . side by side a 600 would get whooped on by a 900 , 1000 etc.. i can still catch up very very quickly !!! and who is going to do 180 on a public street??????? big bikes are fast but i think 600's are the best of both worlds on the street in handiling , weight , and acceleration ! now on the track thats a whole nother story .

theres my 50cents !!!!!!

Your soooo confused. This is where people come to bitch about their problems, and bitch at others for their problems. I'd say about 10% of what goes on here is actually about stunting.

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

i would love to see any 600 do 180 mph! my 04 r1 has 220 hp at the wheel and we topped it out at 189 mph with a radar gun, and a 150 lbs. rider on it. its 1 down and 2 up so i know with stock gearing it would have done better, but i still cant see a 600 doing a true 180 mph. maybe 165 mph.

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

like to see you get you a$$ handed to you by my friend on the track with his 600 and your 1000. ive done over 170 on my 07 zx6r and the bike had a little more left. either way 600 all day long. only reason i would get a bigger bike would be for show and im not partial to the bling crap

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

fact, the 600's still dominate the track .
but a 180 mph stock 600cc ,no way.
160 tops maybe, going down hill, wind at your back ect, ect.
if your speedo says 175 your really doing a corrected 155.

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

on my bike i can easily hit 140 with a lot of twist left in the go handle !!! and it doesint need to be "corrected" becaues i know its accurate since all the shit is new .dash , speedo , speed sensor .....etc.. etc.. all was calibrated at the dealer shop . its rite on the money at 65mph so why the fuck would it need correcting at any other speed ???????? hotter coil packs and plugs w/ low resistance wires , d&d racing pipe , jet kit and a few other goodies . a bigger cc bike may get up to speed faster then me but it wont take long for me to catch up . so a 600 can just be an ass buzzer ................. or if you know how to mod your shit and get the best out of it for your riding then there is no limits.

plus on a good day i weigh in around 300 !!! so there is defiinatly room for improvment .

A 600 will always be "just a 600". and they make the best all around bike but having 165 rwhp is phaqn sick

Re: 600 is just a ass buzzer

......... ha ! funny . ok so check out any of the bike spec sites online and check out the 97 cbr600f3 quarter times ........... 10.5's !!!!!!!!!! it varies between sites but they are all within the 10 sec range . with "stock" gearing and "stock" motor its rated for 155.5 mph top speed . and thats a stock rating . tell me i dont have a clue . ive worked at a bike shop for the past 2 years and just recently got my cbr . i cleaned , syncronised and tuned my carbs , went through every mechanical part i can get to without pulling the long block apart and got it from running from shitty -to- killing 600's alot newer then my 97 . so any one whos talking shit wants to throw down 600 vs. 600 then lets go if not shut the f*ck up !!!!!

,Justin

more to come as i have a t2 garret turbo sitting on the work bench as well as a matching manifold that ive been tig'in together over the past couple of days and already got a thicker copper head gasket comming .............. and if all goes well , a bigger set of minuki's !!!
