Anyone out there done any 1/4 mile drag racing.
Just interested to see what times youve done.
And on what bike?
My best is a 10.84 on my 94 blade.

whats up, my first time at the track I was running 11.40s and some change. My 60 foot times were 1.9 as you can tell I can't get my bike off the line. My buddy was running high 11s on a 2001 929 but 1-3 gear just wheelies and scared him. Its always fun to bust on him for saying that my suzuki gsxr600 is faster.

later that month, we ran from the cops, his bike was definatly alot faster! we didn't get caught.

i went to the track for the first time last summer to test out my 02 gix 1k not having the slightest clue how to launch my best run was 10.81 at 132 mph i'm sure i can do better now funny thing is when i mentioned to my dad (who was a pro-stock drag racer when he was my age) that i was goin to the track he had to tag along but he car was apart so he took his 2000 suzuki 1400 intruder just for shit's and giggles he ran perfect reaction times but he top out at like 87mph best time was high 14's i think but lemme tell ya there's nothin quite as funny as watchin ur old man throw the front wheel up on a cruiser!

I ran a 10:92 with really bad headshakes and manage to still beat a RC51 on 929. My room-mate is running nos on his r1 he's running low 10's, but he's not running an extended swingarm or wheelie bar.

I love to race the crap outta my 1000. My best times are 10.20 stock not lowered and consistent 9.70's at 142mph stock and lowered.

My stock 900rr ran 10.90's. My buddy ran an 11.30 at 116 mph on a GSXR 1000- did I mention he wheelied the whole track!- he actually won fastest wheelie at the reality show.

I ran a few 10.3's to 10.5's on my first 96 750 that had been jetted, filter kit, and Hindle system. Haven't run the one I have now yet though. I'm not expecting any great time's as I can't ride this one the same as that one. This bike has flatslides in it, and has a flat spot before 8000 r.p.m. Gonna practice though as soon as it quit's frigging raining here!

My buddy used to always tie down the forks on his bikes before he would run at the strip. It made a BIG difference. You can get on it more without it wheelieing up on you.

Oh yeah when you lower the bike it makes it not quite as wheelie prone. Therefore you can launch harder off the line. By lowering it I dropped 3 tenths off of my 60' times.
