Went down Sunday 04/22/07 - General Sportbike Discussion

Me and two other guys were on our way back to Mississippi after a weekend over in Birmingham (AMA @ Barber). We were got off the interstate and turned left going over the overpass and soon as I cleared the overpass a truck pulls out in front of me trying to make a left turn. The rest is history I couldn't swerve left of right because the small two lane road, the curbs on each side, oncoming traffic, and cars behind the truck on the off ramp, so all I could do is roll thru with it hitting head on. My friend said that he saw me squat down and attempt to jump over the truck, I don't recall, all I remember is floating silently in the air in slowmotion. After flipping through the air, I landed 15-20 yds from the truck and all I can say is that God is good!!! I was able to move all my limbs and my neck. I got airlifted to the hospital to get checked for internal bleeding. I'm blessed because I only have a few stitches in my hand, banged up knee, and a very sore back.
