Ron Ayers.com Blows ASS

So my stator went out....last month. Went to ron ayers.com cause i figured that they would be the cheapest, well they ended up bein bout middle i guess. Said i would have the part in a week and half. Week rolls by, say the part is on back order till the 23rd of this month. I cant cancell cause i would end up gettin a 25% restockin fee and that on top of the less expensive one would just not be worth it, so i wait it out. Called bout an hour ago to find out where my part is, if its coming anytime soon etc. and they say its still not there. She calls Honda, and says that they discontinued making the part. Now its gonna take another 3-5 days to get my money back on my fuckin card. This is FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!! I havent been able to ride for bout a month now and im still gonna have to wait and get charged some jackass amount for some simple part. Im fuckin pissed!

only thing i hate about buying stuff like that online. you wouldve never knew unless you call and harrass and still wont get 100% money back most of the time

yeah, well fuck that. im gettin my money back even if i gotta take a red eye to bfe south carolina to get it. i think that its total bs that they couldnt tell me till i called them. and who the fuck discontinues a part after only a year?

If the part number is discontinued then there must be a new one, why wouldnt you just ask for that instead of you money back?

I know is sucks waiting for parts but a backorder is a backorder, dont matter who or where you order it a boackoered part is going to take 2-3 weeks...

They've always worked well for me. You sure there isn't a replacement available? They wouldn't just discontinue a part for a newer bike like that without having something that should be a drop in.

She said that HONDA discontinued it. Didnt make to much sense to me but whatever. It is a shitty part anyways. On another forum, lots of people have had problems with the same part. I asked for my money back cause i found another one for less money, and i could get it probably within a week. Second time i got fucked by ronayers. They usually are cheaper, but this is bs man. Im gonna give them a call later and see what the deal is with my money gettin refunded or at least me gettin somethin in writing that it is. Then im gonna get the part from somebody else. Just want it in writing that they screwed up cause i dont wanna all of a sudden have a part show up at my door step for somethin i dont need.

Sounds like you have a decent plan. It's just strange that Honda would do that without having a drop in replacement, a different part but usually they would have some sort of reference to the new part #.

If its on your credit card just call your CC company and put a "stop payment" on it....I had this exact same thing happen to me with Bikebandit a week ago and they canceld the backorder right away no questions asked. Soon as I saw backorder in the order status I sent an Email, they answered saying they dont caharge your card till the part comes in so no problem cancelling it...

Never called honda. Dont really care what they have to say. Im out $200 till i get this money back. The other part is an aftermarket, comes with a 6 month gaurantee and he says that it doesnt have the same problems as the oem, i figure ill go wit him. My stator only last for a lil over 6 months of me ridin it so im bettin it will work out fine. I just wanna start riding again as soon as possible really. Dont mind waitin a week or so to save a couple bucks but when its over a month and then they tell u that ur screwed its like a kick in the balls. Specially when u live in the sunnies motha fackin state around and its nice and 80 right now. Im bout to lose my mind and yesterday was like the last straw. Hence the venting.
