gsxr 600/750

trying to build a 750, and I have 750 forks, but the triple trees are from a 600 ... and they dont seem to fit over the forks. does this mean that the forks on a 750 and 600 are different AND that the trees are NOT interchangeable??

yes, the 750's have bigger diameter tubes than the 600's.
