Tell your friend he is a fucking moron and to shut up unless he knows what the hell he is talking about. There are pictures out there of a busa that was converted into a police bike, but there is only one. NOT a whole states worth of police bikes

That bike im sure is a fun little challenge to all the knee draggers out in Oklahoma. Im sure they wouldnt have a problem out running a bike like that with all the shit on it. I mean seriously, just because they have it, doesnt mean they know how to ride it.

I think it is more a show and tell bike. And I think it is owed by a police officer and not a department. But it's been a couple years since I read the article.

Good point you could be right. Around here when they gotta hop off to help in a felony aresst the cops are told to throw the bike to the ground so no one can just get on and ride away. If you did that with this one it would be kinda pricey w/ no cage. Thats part of why they run cages on their H/D's so they can throw em down and not wast time with the key.

a handfull definitely doesnt constitute mass amounts.

but i also have seen other bikes converted aswell.... cbr1000RR's, and a zx14. wonder if it is a trend that will take off??

Re: pigz.....busas?

lol

good to know its not true.

btw, in cali, all "new" cop riders will have harleys instead of BMWs

...because the cost of buying/repairing the BMWs was wayy too much.

Re: pigz.....busas?

There was a vid somewhere of 3 of the OHP's busa's, but that was all I've seen. Another thing, they probably aren't allowed to top it out in a chase, in the interest of safety etc...

Dont kid yourself. Motorcycle cops can ride. It's doubtful that a busa would be used by the jakes for anything other than special circumstances. I can't see them using a busa as a regular patrol bike because they are too unreliable. They'd go through 3-4 engines a year with as many miles as they ride. hah.
