Honda VTR 1000 Superhawk Smokes when i come to a hard stop

When I come to a hard stop just short of a stoppie.....the bike rolls smoke out of the exhaust.

Any ideas as to why this is. I checked the oil level and it's between the lines int he glass.

Not many people ride these biek to begin with so finding one that does another one that has the same issue is tough.

HELP pleeeze.

Is the bike wheelied long distance (anything over a couple seconds at high rpm).

Because if so the front piston rings might be excessively worn causing the oil to be pulled into the combustion chamber when you do a stoppie.

See, on a twin cylinder the front cylinder is angle really far forward.
when you wheelie it, the oil lays in the back of the motor and in the rear cylinder while the front cylinder is left with "less than adequate lubrication" causeing premature ring wear. an the exact opposite occurs when you endo (oil lays inthe front cylinder.)

Pull the plugs and take note to the plug color. Put a compression guage on it. Test both cylinders. And let me know.

When I wheelie it it's a nice easy throttle controlled perfectly balanced wheelie that yeah can go for a mile or so..........

But I have not noticed and loss of power that would be indicitave of worn rings.

I will do a compression test for sure.
