Question gsxr skip 4000 rpm

while riding at 4000 rpm the bike starts to shake as if a clutch is slipping. is it the clutch? if i take off fast it also seems to have a power slip? please help and give me a clue.

What year is your 750? 2000? Does it only happen in 2nd gear?

gsxr skip

the gsxr is a 2000 and it skip in all gears at that 4000 rpm spot ,if i take above 4000 rpm it rides perfect, it's only when riding at a steady 4000 rpm (thanks for replying)

Sounds to me like a engine miss rather than a skip.

How many miles are on it?

Throttle bodies might need balancing.

miles on my gixxer

i have 8000 miles on my gixxer, is balancing a thottle body basic maintance and can be done without special machinery?
