Can Rain fvck your bike up? - General Sportbike Discussion

Well yeah, I cant afford insurance on my car for the rest of the year, broke college student issues have taken effect. And my parents are the hard ass type who will not help me out.

My only option is riding my bike full time for the rest of the year, which I dont really mind, seeing as how its good practice time on the way to school and well, pretty much everywhere I go now.

My question is, how bout the rainy days? My bike is streetfightered. So thats open air tubes since the ram air tubes were taken off, and I got my gauges zip tied on with all the wiring stuffed behind hte acerbis light.

Will the rain **** anything up if my bike is out sitting in it for like 7 hours while Im at school? I can wipe it down when I get hmoe so my shit doesnt rust up, but engine/electronics wise? How am I looking? I dunno what Id do if my baby stopped running on me.

dude if you know its gonna rain put trashbags over your wiring , and like stash a cover at your school.. but yeah you dont want any exposed wires to the elements make sure there all sealed ,(no copper showing).

i leave my Fightered R! out on the traile overnight sometimes and it raind a few times. i just covered the light/ bars with a trash bag. it was all cool., but i dont have indicators, speedo, guages etc. but as far as i know, f you cover up the electronic crap and any areas rain may enter the intake you will be golden.....

what i wonder is when you are hauling ass on a full fairing bike in the rain, when the rain gets in your ram air tubes where does it go?

Yeah its pretty ghetto, I just gotta bunch of shit all taped together and stuffed behind my acerbis light. Haha, Ill just re wrap it all up with eletrical tape again to be safe.

I ride my streetfightered F4I EVERYDAY...TSUNAMIS HURICANNES(I LIVE IN FLA) it dont make a ****.....as long as your wiring is elec taped off correctly...(i sitll got gauges lights and everything) should have no probs..only thing i've ever had go wrong is my horn/car alarm siren doesnt work in the rain but i think its internal in itself.
