| Info on 96 900rr's Going to look at a 96 900rr tonight, just looking for some background info, i've determined that the 96s have the 918cc motor, same as the 99s right? how are the front brakes on the 96? i'm fed up with my gixxer's brakes, and i love the 929s, but haven't found a deal on a 929, so how do the 900s compare? and can 929 brakes be bolted on to the 900? any other info would be great, this will be a daily commuter and weekend stunt bike, gonna get a cage, 12 bar, etc. for it |

| 900RRs... 93-95 1st years... 1st motor... 96-97 - Better years. Newer motor, harder to blow up doing wheelies. Same brake set-up as earlier models. 98-99 - last of the great 900RR... upgraded brakes, same size motor 919cc... the brakes are same as 929... pads are interchangeable. Much better front-end set-up...forks, brakes etc So if you get a 900RR... get 96-99... but your best bet is 98-99 cause they improved on them even more. Hope this helps.

| so will the brakes off a 98-99 900 or a 929 bolt onto the 96? |

| everything fron 96 to 99 is interchangeable, exept plastics, triples, the chasis is identical, heres a little peice for you i bolted up a 929 front end, fit like a glove , now you want front brakes thats the way to go, as far as im concerned the front brakes are the only flaw on the 900s, i have had 6 scince 97, i am recognized as somewhat of an expert in these here parts, if you got a question gimme a holla

| Are the rotors the same through the years, hence will 95 rotors fit a 99 what about 929 front pads, as far as i have found they are HH pads, and cant find regular pads, wouldnt this make it harder to stunt with, could i place 900 pads on the 929 to make it easier to stunt? jesse |

| the rotors are all different, 93-94-95, 96-97, 98-99, and 929 the brakes are the same, my advice to you, is get some steel braided lines and have someone who knows how to bleed brakes bleed them out, they are real triky to get right, but the steel lines are key. dont waste money on calipers or any thing, get those hh pads though, they Are worth there weight in gold
