49 or 50?

49 or 50?

I have a 46 tooth rear sprocket now and want to up the teeth on it. I only want to go up a few should i go 49? or 50? I am not to concerned about top speed but I do need tokeep my same chain. If a get a new sprocket will i need a new chain, honestly i gots no $, well not enough anyway.....

I would go with 49. Try that first for a bit and see then think about 50.

what are you trying to gear for? As for the 49 or 50 rear sprocket there is next to no difference between the two.
Thats a big bike..try 5 down 80 up :bouncesmi

yah its a huge monster.....my friend that rides one is gonna 12 it this year he was only like 8 inches from the ground last year....its phat as hell to see that behemoth straight up and down...

thanks I think I will do the 49 for a while, I am going for 2nd /3rd gear now i have first down.... I shouldn't need a new chain though right?

depends on how old ur chain is. if it is streched it will wear your new sprocket quicker. U will have to add a couple links too.
