Re: 12 Days Later & Looking Way Different!

is the front brake guide on the forks hitting the pro taper tripple?
when i installed mine i had to grind it off to make it fit. it was welded on to high.
didn't even notice at first then i measured and noticed it was off might be worth checking.

Both bikes live in my living room and when I gotta mod it, that gets done there too... Something about watching the big screen in the A/C and working on the bike that makes me content, lol! Fiance isn't wild about it, next June I'm sure the little one will be in the shed... Damn shame the busa won't fit there.

Just checked... It's close but no rub. I have a little less than 1/4" from the notched area of the guide to the triple. thanks for the heads up!

Re: 12 Days Later & Looking Way Different!

EDIT: After closer inspection the bottom of the triple DOES in fact sit on the weld for the brake guide. I'd never have noticed it unless you said something...maybe I would notice riding, but doubt it. It's not much but after looking at it, it's DEFINITELY not right.

Time to start grinding!! Did you remove your guide or just notch the weld so the triple would sit even? I'm debating doing the latter, but may be a waste of time/effort.

Re: 12 Days Later & Looking Way Different!

I have a roll of black vinyl, may just wrap both upper forks so they match... I don't know, but time to grind!

busa would definitely be hard to stunt with a 2" drop... Bet it's possible, but I can't even stunt a fiddy yet! LOL
