Re: Are 50's just a side show ?

Side show? Who the fuck cares? I guess some guys probably wanna learn to stunt for ego stroke and to get ladies but not I. To me it's just exercise and fun as hell recreation. I was 235lbs with a keg before I got the fiddies. Now I'm 175 lbs with a six pack. Done nothing but ride fiddies to lose the weight.

This shit it just too fun! Who cares what "show" we are. Hell, in the summer you might catch me all tanked up and killing a lot a 3 AM all by myself if no one wants to ride. No ones watching so it aint no show.

I just love these things. I guess I'm lazy but it's so convenient to just toss the fifty in the truck and be killin' in 5 mins. and have cops watching and just laughing. Rather than get out the ramps, struggle to load the f4i or r6 and go ride for a few minutes just to get busted by a not so light hearted cop who is following the protcol of NO SPORT BIKE STUNTING anywhere!!! When I was younger, I admit that I enjoyed the cat and mouse game with the cops but in a small town that only lasts so long before they know ya. Now that I've matured, I'd rather it just be legal. It's not but the cops around here allow it if we have permission from lot owners. On the other hand, they'll inpound a big bike and throw the book at you in a flash.

I hate it but the big bikes have been collecting dust with dead batteries every since we fell in love with the lil' guys. That and I have no tickets or trials to attend.

That said. I think it's obvious which impresses the mainstream crowds the most. People wanna see someone die! They 're hoping you do and they'll have a story to tell at the water cooler on monday.

If your ego is the ONLY reason you ride than better stick with the big bikes.

If self gratification, recreation, excellent balance refinery and TONS OF SMILES are what you're after! Fuck the show, go kill on a fifty!

Probably the best explanation in the thread.. : Plus, when its late an you're hammered you can bust the 50 out of the garage and throw down some wheelies in the driveway/street and have it back in the garage before the cops roll up. usually...

Well some time has past since I asked this question and the response was what I wanted to hear ... At the time but , been on the motard now for three months and I'm stoked about it . In fact I sold my fiddy to my boy who is on his way up . So I have to change my answer to yes , they are a side show , bring on the clown suit

I will agree with the motard fact. Ever since i got my street legal YZ450, that biatch has been nothing but a blast. And it makes people turn their heads left and right. I guess they find it crazy that im killing the streets on a full blown dirt bike, LMAO.........But i still like rocking the 50 at the shows. The future up and coming stunters (kids), like to watch it in action. Gives them something to look forward too, since they see us doing it on bikes that were made for kids their age.......=-)

Re: Are 50's just a side show ?

My 50 was great to me people ,don't take me as a hater , feel like I may have been a bit harsh . When I got my tard I just couldn't ride the mini anymore , I tried a few times and wasn't feeling it ! Plus the guy who I sold it to was madly in love with her the way I was when I first saw her . So it went to a good home with someone who will do work and train her third stunter ! It was and is the fastest way to become a well rounded rider $$$

Re: Are 50's just a side show ?

LOL, yes sir I do as well as suspension for sure. Had surgery so can't ride it for another month but a deal fell in my lap for it and been wanting one for a while....had to get it. Sucks just looking at both bikes and can't ride either for now.

No clue why they're yellow. it's a 06, fires up on first kick. Guess just age maybe? Any ideas?

Re: Are 50's just a side show ?

50s are considered side show by most of the people i ride with but they've all played around on em too. i love my fiddy and i have no intention of movin to the bigger bikes. the toy sideshow bike works fine for me.

Re: Are 50's just a side show ?

While the 50's might be a side show. To me down here in Texas even if they are a side show.... They are still a show and get plenty attention. I ride with a 50 stunt group and ride around home depot and other businesses and will have workers come outside and watch up until the cops come lol... but they are still a show to me, be it a side show or not it is still a show and is fun as hell..

Re: Are 50's just a side show ?

at a big bike show most would say their a sideshow but riding in your hood/lot with friends it's always a good time.

side show or not fiddys are a great tool for beginners to learn throttle/brake control, balance and the basics with stunting.

fuck it, ride it if you own one and if you don't own one wtf are you waiting for?
