lifan motors

im looking to purchase a xr50 used but it has a 138cc lifan motor on it..i was wondering how reliable the motor is?? is it going to break on me or will it last? let me know what you guys think. thanks in advance.

well..he's asking $1000 for it..here's what he posted..

2003 Honda XR50. Has a Lifan 138cc motor with clutch. BBR tall seat. BBR stiff springs with longer fork legs. Rear I-shock. Exhaust. Fast 50s tall handlebars and throttle. Runs great.

Thats a little steep in my opinion i got a brand new 138 motor of ebay for like 250 bucks its a pretty decent motor no honda but hasnt given me any problems i run it in a 3 wheeler.

i like the lifan motor's... i've been running a 110cc lifan in my stunt fiddy for little over a year. never change the oil or anything and i beat the hell outta it. Always runs perfect

i have a lifan 120 with the monster head (big valve head) and i love it. i removed the butterfly choke for more flow to the motor and it still starts first kick every time. as for parts there are a few places online you can get parts as well as big bore kits, i belive theres like a 140 or 150 kit for the 138 motor. also if im corect the 138 motor is a honda style lowend with a klx style topend.
